  • Second Celtic Cooling installation operational in Uzbekistan

    Nieuw-Vennep, 12 July 2016 – The second installation of Celtic Cooling for client Gold Dried Fruits has arrived in Tashkent. This 500 kW / -43 C°-IQF facility (Individually Quick Frozen) will be installed in their new production and storage center for fruit and vegetables, which is the largest of its kind in  Central Asia. Overland transport of the installation took several weeks.

  • Uzbek food industry invests € 20 million in new orders with Celtic Cooling

    Alkmaar / Nieuw-Vennep, 8 June 2016 – At the end of May a trade delegation from Uzbekistan and GMV, branch organization of machine producers for the Netherlands’ food processing and packaging industry, signed two cooperation agreements. Among others, these contained a declaration of intent to award € 31 million in orders to GMV member companies. Co-signatory was Joost van Klink, general director of Celtic Cooling, signing for € 20 million.

  • Celtic Cooling builds 17.000 m2 cold rooms in Ethiopia

    The Dutch company Celtic Cooling will build cold rooms using the latest technology for the largest air cargo terminal for Ethiopian Airlines at the international airport in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. The airline ordered the build of the terminal in order to load about 60.000 ton of air cargo per year for shipment to Europe and elsewhere throughout the world.

  • The five hundredth cooling system in Ethiopia

    In 1998 the staff of Celtic Ethiopia PLC placed the first refrigeration system in Ethiopia. This summer the five hundredth copy was delivered; a cold room with Freon DX refrigeration system used to cool back quickly harvested flowers. A festive event, of course celebrated with the local office staff, cake and soda. We hope that many installations will follow!

  • Evaporators: a source of infection

    Evaporators are an ideal spot to nestle for bacteria and fungi. Due to the cooling process small drops are being formed on the lamellae of an evaporator. In this moisture all kinds of micro-organisms can flourish easily. UVC-light, however, has a sterilizing effect.

  • Extensive fruit and vegetable storage Gold Dried Fruits

    On the 23rd of May the festive opening of the new fruit and vegetable storage Gold Dried Fruits took place in Uzbekistan. A unique project in Tashkent of ± 10,000 m² in which all aspects of our service have been addressed. Not only several domestic and foreign dignitaries were present, the opening was also broadcasted prime-time on local TV stations. A special moment for all involved parties.

  • Bakker Hillegom BV opts for natural refrigerant

    The biggest garden mail order company of Europe, Bakker Hillegom, is partnering with Celtic Cooling. We replace the existing R22 installation by a cooling system based on natural refrigerant. At Bakker an optimal conditioned storage is essential for the quality of the bulbs.

  • New cold room Ethiopian Airlines Enterprise in use

    In February of this year Celtic Cooling from New Vennep commissioned a new cargo terminal in Ethiopia. Both the flower growers and the fruit and vegetable exporting companies in Ethiopia are extremely pleased with this capacity enlargement.

  • Spearheads Celtic Cooling: phasing out of R22 and export

    Wednesday 16 January 2013

    R22 can no longer be used as a refrigerant from 1 January 2015. R22 contains chlorine which attacks the Ozone-layer. Therefore the EU have decided not to use this refrigerant in cooling installations in the future. Celtic is busy phasing out of R22 for a while now.
